How to Avoid Airline Extra Baggage Fees

With new airline policy, we see United Airlines, US Airways and American Airlines charging a fee from $15- 25 for bags. Most airlines are trying to cash in on baggage fees for the high rise in fuel. Are there ways to avoid paying this fee, the answer is "yes" if you think and act smart.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

****INSTRUCTION***
---------------------------------------------------
Step1
"Carry On" Carry on the maximum amount allowed by the airline. Try to get a middle seat which offer more underneath storage
----------------------------------------
Step2
"Board very early" There are more space in the overhead bins when you board early. Find out from the airline what is its boarding policy, as some airline board starting from the back window seat, others by zones and other have no particular order of boarding
----------------------------------------
Step3
"Pack Small and light" Take only items you know you will use, try and put all personal items in the carry on. Also make sure you purchase a luggage that is not already heavy. Buy a light luggage, this will allow you to pack more items. Most luggage without any items already weighs an average of 5 lbs.
